I was asked the question of "What influenced my decision to become an artist?"
I was interrupted.
I take this opportunity to, I answer now -
I was born in St. Petersburg.
Saint Petersburg is known as the cultural capital of Russia.
Since childhood, I have regularly visited museums, exhibitions, concerts, theaters. I read a lot.
Knowledge and creativity were two main aspects of my education.
A well-known phrase in Russian says- The art of being human.
We can discuss a lot about what that means.
Now is a different time.
Gavin says I'm spoiled.
I grew up surrounded by culture and art, good manners and poetry.
But in my opinion - living surrounded by culture and art, good manners and poetry, being a thinking person, a creator, a seeker, a thinker - should be the norm.
"Every child is an artist. The problem is to remain an artist when you grow up. To draw, you have to close your eyes and sing" - Pablo Picasso
